Professor Kamal Alameh

Professor Kamal Alameh, an internationally renowned expert in optics and Nano Photonics, served as Director at ECU and WCU GIST-Korea.

He holds Adjunct Professor roles at the University of Melbourne, ECU, GIST-Korea, and KCST-Kuwait, and a lifetime guest Professorship at Southeast University, China. He earned a PhD in Engineering (Photonics) from the University of Sydney in 1993.

Professor Alameh has 40 technology patents, including a 2018 ASX-listed Solar Energy application. His latest innovation, "High Definition Coloured Photo Voltaic (HDCPV)," is poised to lead BIPV technology, overcoming challenges in renewable energy and offering significant market potential in building and construction.

Dr. Tim Song brings over 20 years of corporate management experience in Australia, transforming start-ups into industry leaders with well-known brands. Focused on innovation and technology, he played a key role in advancing AST's HDCPV technology. With 10+ years in the solar energy sector,

Dr. Song led a business ranking third in total annual kW output in Western Australia. Holding a Ph.D. in Geology/Petroleum Exploration, he remains dedicated to renewable energy applications, driving the shift away from environmentally harmful fossil fuels.

Mr. Scott Mundell

Scott, a Simon Fraser University Bachelor of Commerce graduate, brings 20+ years of global executive experience in leadership, business development, sales, marketing, and finance. His expertise spans diverse sectors, contributing to the company's success through business development and solution-oriented sales strategies.

With a global network in APAC, MENA, EMEA, and North America, Scott raised over USD $1.6 billion, consulting for UBS, Hotab Gruppen, BCGE, SADB, Swiss BancaStato, Changjiang Capital, and ABN Amro. Before Australia in 2007, he held roles in investment banking and listed companies in Canada, the UK, and Hong Kong, starting at Royal Bank of Canada and advancing through Deutsche Bank and Nomura.

Daniel Garnsey

Daniel has over two decades of business management experience with a strong emphasis on profitability. Early in his career, he excelled in revitalizing struggling businesses, notably leading Amstar Satellite for a decade. Under his guidance, Amstar completed significant projects, including the $40 billion Gorgon Project, providing satellite connectivity and services to major clients like BHP, Chevron, Inpex, and Barrick Gold.

Since 2012, Daniel has been a driving force at Garnsey Corp Consulting, where he and his team excel in corporate advisory roles. They specialize in capital raising, securing debt and non-recourse funding, offering strategic guidance, and facilitating expansion efforts for companies across diverse sectors with a primary focus on the Australian market.

Charles E. Boyer

Charlie is the Principal at C E Boyer & Associates LLC since retiring from Viracon in March 2020.

With 25 years of technical and business experience, he joined Viracon in 2009 as Vice President of Research, Process & Product Development. Prior roles include being Vice President at Coloplast Skin Health (2005-2008) and Chief Operating Officer at Tech Logic (2003-2005). His leadership at 3M Company spanned from 1985 to 2003, overseeing government contracts, leading the Austin electronic materials laboratory, and serving in Singapore. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Wilkes University and earned a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science from the University of Virginia. He served on Veritec Inc.'s Board of Directors and advisory boards for Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Flex Lab and Purdue Herrick Laboratory.

Recognized as a co-inventor on multiple patents, Charlie's career reflects a commitment to innovation and excellence.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Dr Navid Mavaddat

Dr Navid Mavaddat holds a Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (Hons.) from the University of Western Australia, and a PhD in Information Technology from Edith Cowan University.

He brings to AST more than 20 years experience in scientific research and commercial software development.  His PhD thesis involved the use of simulation of light transmission through multi-layered tissues together with Machine Learning. Dr Mavaddat was awarded an Industry Fellowship for his world-class expertise in Artificial Intelligence. He is the author of a book chapter on utilising Simulation of biomedical signals for training Deep Learning networks as result of his PhD project. In addition to his experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Dr Mavaddat has extensive experience in Computer Vision, 3D computer aided design software design and web development

Mr. Max Ji

With over 20 years of international finance and investment experience, Max held key roles in Australia and abroad. Starting as the STG representative in 2008, he later became CEO of Shandong Tianye Australia Group and Minjar Gold.

Notable achievements include successfully transferring gold production to Jinan Hi-tech Development Co. Ltd. Max, a GAICD member, served as Chairman of Minjar Gold, leading strategic initiatives like acquiring Pajingo and Barto Gold Mining operations and recapitalizing Triton Minerals Ltd. Currently, he holds the position of Chairman at Triton Minerals Ltd.
